The client owned a 2 bedroom falt spread over three floors. The rooms were all in the wrong place, and there was nowhere to eat, as the kitchen was tiny.

JGA&D were asked to explore options for improving the layout, converting the loft space, and adding a terrace. The result includes an additional double bedroom and en-suite in the loft, relocating the kitchen next to the living room, and converting the old kitchen into a second bedroom.

The new stair to the loft space has open treads and timber posts to allow light from the new door to the terrace.

James worked closely with the client to integrate reclaimed features such as doors and flooring to create a characterful and spacious convertion of a small space
