Pool and Landscaping. Private House, Gloucestershire
A phased intervention to a large listed country house in the Cotswolds. The house is an adapted ‘model farm’ – a collection of Victorian barns which had been consolidated as a single house in the 1980’s.
Phase one was to master plan the grounds around a new swimming pool.
The client bravely decided to locating the pool against the house, as if it were one of the many low-walled gardens along the southern edge. The pool is to seem as if it has always been there, using matching stone edging. Completed.
